Moab is the gateway to Dead Horse Point State Park, Goblin Valley State Park and the Goosenecks State Park. There are more National Parks, State Parks and other major attractions within a 200 mile radius of Moab than any other location in Utah.
|Access to Dead Horse Point is nine miles north of Moab on US 191. (Turn west on SR 313, then go 22 miles.) The visitor center, museum, campground compliment the spectacular overlook. Visitors from all over the world are struck by the incrediable beauty of this view point. The visitor center is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily however the park itself is open 24 hours a day.|
|Access to Goblin Valley State Park from Moab would take you North of Moab on US 191 to I-70 West past Green River, Utah and to US 24. Goblin Valley State Park has been the site of many full length motion pictures including well known City Slickers II starring Billy Crystal and Jack Palance.|
|Goosenecks State Park is four miles off Utah Highway 261 near Mexican Hat, you can look into a 1,000-foot-deep chasm carved through to the San Juan River below. The access road is paved into the Park which encompasses 10 acres. Facilities include primitive camping and rest rooms.|
